A Guitar, A Drone & A Hymn

Hymns have been an integral part of worshiping God since David wrote his famous ones documented in the book of Psalms. Many of the hymns written in the 1700s and 1800s are instantly recognizable as most of us were exposed to them in our childhood. The beautiful melodies create a lasting impact and influence much of the modern worship music written today. New artist, Sky Hymnal, is adding a new visual element to traditional hymns. Through combining ambient guitar arrangements of hymns with beautiful drone video of landscape and architecture, Sky Hymnal, offers a new and exciting way to experience hymns.

After releasing their inaugural video of “Silent Night” in November, Sky Hymnal released their follow up “It is Well” on January 20. “It is Well” features video of church steeples filmed across the US with a drone. The video was 2 years in the making and features iconic steeples in Atlanta GA, Nashville TN, Cincinnati OH, Houston TX and Carmel, CA. “It is Well” is available on both video and audio streaming platforms including Youtube, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon and Pandora.
